The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is seeking a qualified contractor to perform ceiling and wall repairs, including installation of fiberglass reinforced polymer (FRP) panels, at its Fort Collins campus laboratory facility. - Government Buyer: - Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Office of Acquisition Services - Contracting offices at CDC Chamblee Campus, Atlanta, GA - Scope of Work: - Repair and refinish gypsum board ceilings and walls in laboratory, support, corridor, and ancillary spaces on the second floor of Building 401, CDC Fort Collins campus - Demolition of delaminated gypsum board, priming, and replacement to Level 3 finish - Installation of smooth, white FRP panels (4x8, 4x9, or 4x10 x .09" thick, Class C fire rated per ASTM E-84) and matching trim, fastened with white plastic rivets and sealed with compatible white caulk - Sealing around ceiling devices and light fixtures, matching existing installations in specified rooms - Coordination with CDC for phased access, decontamination, and fire protection system management - Compliance with health, safety, environmental, and Section 508 accessibility standards - Provision of temporary barriers, dust control, signage, and minimizing disruption during normal business hours - Contractor Requirements: - Minimum three years of relevant construction and interior finish experience - Experience with FRP panel installation in controlled laboratory environments - Performance and payment bonds required - No specific OEMs or product brands are named; the solicitation is performance- and standards-based - Place of Performance: - CDC Fort Collins campus, Building 401, 3156 Rampart Road, Fort Collins, CO 80521 - Contract Duration: - Work must be completed within 180 days after Notice to Proceed
Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) requires a contractor to repair and refinish gypsum board ceilings and walls in laboratory, laboratory support, corridors, and ancillary spaces on the second floor of Building 401 at the CDC Ft. Collins campus. The primary work includes covering designated gypsum board ceilings with smooth, white fiberglass reinforced polymer (FRP) panels and trim, installed to match existing installations in the building. The contractor will be responsible for all materials, equipment, labor, and supervision necessary to complete the work, including demolition of delaminated ceiling portions, surface preparation, installation of FRP panels and trim, sealing, and coordination with CDC for phased access to work areas.
The project also requires compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations, provision of temporary barriers and dust control, protection and temporary modification of fire protection systems, and coordination of work to minimize disruption to ongoing CDC operations. All work must be performed in accordance with the contract documents, drawings, and specifications provided by the Government.
Period of Performance: Completion is required within 180 days after Notice to Proceed.
Minimum Vendor Qualifications: Offerors must demonstrate at least three years of experience with similar construction and interior finish projects.
