SCOPE OF WORK: Contractor to provide and ship (1) iQflo 3.0 potable water booster pump from Quantum FLO in SANFORD, FL per provided SOW.
Ship to Location: USCG Air Station Clearwater 15100 Rescue Way Clearwater, FL 33762 Attn: Jose Calderon
Description of Supply: This requirement is for the procurement of a
potable water booster pump skid (in-kind) for Great Inagua, a remote island in
the Bahamas with limited access to services and contractors. The objective is to
replace the existing potable water booster pump skid, which is over 15 years old
and has experienced multiple failures. Currently, pump #1 is operating with
temporary repairs to maintain water pressure for the hangar and eight housing
units, while pump #2's housing and motor have failed and require replacement.
The piping system is also severely corroded and must be replaced to ensure a
reliable water supply. If this project is not completed, the hangar and eight
housing units will not have sufficient water pressure for essential needs such as
bathing, cooking, and restroom facilities.
Identification of Statutory Exception and Rationale.
The request is for a contractor to obtain required potable water booster pump skid from vendor
Quantum Flo in Sanford, FL. Due to Great Inagua’s remote location in the Bahamas and limited access
to services and contractors, Coast Guard personnel will transport and install the
replacement pump skid. Selecting Quantum Flo ensures compatibility with the existing
piping and electrical systems, as the entire potable water system was originally designed
to operate with this manufacturer’s equipment.
