SaskPower is preparing to initiate a competitive solicitation for Engineering, Procurement and Contract Management (EPCM) services for its Coal Life Extension Powerhouse Project. This multi-year project involves the full refurbishment of seven coal-fired generating units across three power stations in Saskatchewan, with one unit refurbished per year starting in 2030. The EPCM contractor will be responsible for detailed design, execution planning, key procurements, construction management, and commissioning activities. The procurement process will begin with a Request for Supplier Qualifications (RFSQ) in Q2 2026, followed by a closed Request for Proposal (RFP) in Q3 2026.
