This opportunity involves major upgrades to the chemical feed systems at the City of Saginaw Water Treatment Plant: - Government Buyer: - City of Saginaw, Michigan (Purchasing Office) - OEMs and Vendors: - Belding Tanks (approved tank manufacturer) - Watson-Marlow (chemical metering pumps) - Integrity Municipal Systems LLC (lime slaking systems) - Products and Equipment Requested: - Replacement of two bulk sodium hypochlorite storage tanks (5,290 gallons each) - Replacement of two sodium hypochlorite day tanks (386 gallons each) - Chemical metering pumps: - Replace two pumps (P-131, P-134) with Watson-Marlow Qdos HFlo ReNu SBES 300 - Upgrade two pumps (P-132, P-133) with Watson-Marlow 520 REL pumpheads - Two new paste-type lime slaker and feed systems (Integrity Municipal Systems LLC Series A-758, Model 32-300SP, 1,000 lbs/hr) - Replacement of all chemical feed piping, concrete curbing, recoating, enclosure panels, and miscellaneous building electrical/mechanical equipment - Control panels and communication panels (including PLC and OIT upgrades) - Chemical diffuser injectors and bulk fill station enclosure - Services: - Installation, testing, and commissioning of all equipment - Manufacturer's field service for start-up, training, and O&M demonstration (minimum 2 days onsite) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Field verification of tank scale dimensions - Compliance with ASME RTP-1 standards for tanks - Temporary spill protection for chemical storage - Lump sum bid structure - Warranty period of one year for new process control and instrumentation systems - Place of Performance: - City of Saginaw Water Plant, 1315 South Washington Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48601

This project involves the replacement of two bulk and two sodium hypochlorite chemical storage day tanks at the Saginaw Water Treatment Plant. It includes replacing all chemical feed piping from the bulk storage fill location to the chemical injection points, as well as concrete curbing replacements, recoating, and removal and replacement of enclosure panels and miscellaneous building electrical and mechanical equipment. Additionally, the project requires replacing two existing lime feed slakers with new auger paste-style lime slaker and feed systems. The contractor must furnish all labor, tools, equipment, and materials to complete the work as specified.
