The Oklahoma Department of Corrections (ODOC), via the Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES) Central Purchasing division, is seeking proposals for the one-time purchase of specialized tracking canines and handler training services. - Government Buyer: - Oklahoma Department of Corrections (ODOC) - Solicitation managed by OMES Central Purchasing division - Products Requested: - Specialized tracking canines (Bloodhounds, Plott Hounds, or similar breeds) - Must be 9-24 months old, medically screened (including hip x-rays), guaranteed free from hip dysplasia and hereditary issues - Domestically bred or imported in compliance with CDC regulations - Temperament requirements: passive response, no aggressive behavior - Equipment for each canine: - Two tracking leashes per canine: - 36 ft x 0.75 in, 750-lb minimum tensile strength, black, Ram-Tech Leather Alternative or approved equal - 5 ft x 0.75 in, 750-lb minimum tensile strength, black, Ram-Tech Leather Alternative or approved equal - Padded Bio-Thane multifunctional tracking harness (black or brown, sized to canine) - Services Requested: - Handler training for ODOC K9 teams - Minimum 80-hour training block in one of several specified states (OK, CO, KS, NM, AR, LA, TX, MS, AL, GA, FL, MO, TN) - Includes hotel or housing accommodations at no cost to ODOC - Instructors must be certified by a nationally accredited working canine association - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All canines must be accompanied by health guarantees and a 12-month warranty for defects - Vendors must provide references and company information - Pricing scenarios required for two, three, or four canines (all-inclusive) - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; "Ram-Tech Leather Alternative" and "Bio-Thane" are referenced as brands or standards - Place of Performance: - Delivery to ODOC; handler training to occur in one of several specified states
