Description
The U.S. Department of Commerce has determined that imports of certain low-carbon steel wire produced in Mexico and assembled or completed into standard steel welded wire mesh in the United States are circumventing existing antidumping and countervailing duty orders on welded wire mesh from Mexico. This determination covers merchandise classified under HTSUS subheading 7217.10.50.90 and applies on a country-wide basis. As a result, U.S. Customs and Border Protection will suspend liquidation and require cash deposits of estimated duties on such entries, with specific certification requirements for importers to avoid suspension.
