The Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, is seeking public comments on the extension of its 'Forest Industries and Logging Operations Data Collection Systems' information collection. - Purpose: Gather feedback on the continued collection of data through mill surveys and harvest utilization studies - Data collected includes timber use, logging residue, and production levels from primary wood processing mills and logging sites - Information is used to evaluate timber resource trends, forecast wood demand, and analyze changes in harvest levels - Mandated by the Forest and Rangeland Renewable Resources Planning Act of 1974 and the Forest and Rangeland Renewable Resources Research Act of 1978 - No products, services, OEMs, or vendors are being procured; this is a request for public comment - Place of performance and contracting office: Forest Service's Southern Research Station, Forest Inventory and Analysis, Knoxville, TN
