Description
Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Rome, Italy will launch the solicitation on the SAM.gov website when it is available. The solicitation covers both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance services for hydraulic traffic barriers and automatic gates located at the Embassy Compound and U.S. Government-owned properties in Rome, as well as at the U.S. Consulates in Naples and Florence, Italy. The Contractor shall provide managerial, administrative, and direct labor personnel to perform all services required under the contract. These services will be provided for approximately 30 gates, 7 barriers, and 20 bollard systems. The anticipated performance period is for a base year, with four one-year option periods, if exercised by the Government. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price type contract.
The Government is planning a pre-proposal conference and the date for this conference will be in the solicitation. All contractors must be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to submitting an offer pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. Therefore, prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of proposal.
This opportunity is subject to 52.229-12 - Tax on Certain Foreign Procurements (FEB 2021)
