The New York State Department of Health, AIDS Institute, Office of the Medical Director and Health Research, Inc. (HRI) are soliciting applications for a comprehensive statewide training initiative aimed at strengthening the capacity of non-physician health and human services providers. The program focuses on ending preventable epidemics, advancing health equity, fighting stigma, and promoting health through innovative professional training and capacity building. The procurement includes five components: Regional Training Centers, Topic-Specific Training Centers of Expertise, Distance Learning Resource Center, New York State Peer Worker Certification Academic Center, and Training Centers for Peer Leadership and Access to Employment Resources. The total funding available is approximately $3,094,000 annually for five years.
