The USDA Forest Service is seeking to procure its 2026 membership in the International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO), a unique non-profit organization supporting global forest science research. - Government Buyer: - USDA Forest Service (SPOC East, CSA East 2, PPS Products and Services Branch) - Contracting and delivery offices in Washington, DC and Atlanta, GA - OEM / Vendor: - International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO) is the sole source provider - Products/Services Requested: - Annual membership in IUFRO for 2026 - No part numbers; quantity is one membership - Enables Forest Service participation and leadership in international forest science research - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Only authorized IUFRO membership providers are eligible - Justified as sole source due to IUFRO's unique global role and long-standing relationship with the Forest Service - Supports agency priorities such as forest management and bioenergy - Place of Performance/Delivery: - USDA Forest Service offices in Washington, DC and Atlanta, GA - IUFRO Headquarters in Vienna, Austria

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.  Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. 

Solicitation number 12444026Q0042 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the 2026 International Union of Forest Research Organizations’ (IUFRO) membership.

The Government anticipates this being a sole source requirement due to only one organization offering membership into the IUFRO (see attached Justification and Approval for additional information). This acquisition is not set-aside for small business concerns.  The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 813920 – Professional Organizations.   The small business size standard is $23.5 Million.  This acquisition is an unrestricted requirement.   All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency. 

Only authorized membership providers of IUFRO will be considered.
