This opportunity seeks qualified vendors to provide industrial plumbing maintenance and emergency repair services for the City of Winnipeg's Transit Department facilities. - Government Buyer: - City of Winnipeg, Winnipeg Transit Department - Facilities Contracts Officer: Brandon Campbell - Scope of Services: - Industrial plumbing maintenance and emergency repairs at Fort Rouge Garage, Brandon Garage, North Garage, and 24 Bus Operator Comfort Stations across Winnipeg - Services include: - Repair/replacement of plumbing fixtures (toilets, sinks, faucets, showers) - Clearing blockages in sewer lines, drains, and grease interceptors - Maintenance and repair of water heaters, boilers, and industrial water treatment systems - Inspection and repair of pipes, water meters, and valves - Cleaning grease traps, high-pressure water jetting, mechanical rodding - Backflow prevention device testing, valve maintenance, sediment/mineral build-up removal, filter maintenance - Plumbing-related project work (installation, replacement, upgrades) - Use of specialized vehicles: Vactor Truck, Pump Truck, Steam Truck, Camera Truck - Labor and Equipment Requirements: - Certified journeyperson plumbers, steamfitter-pipefitters, and welders - 24/7 availability for emergency response and after-hours service - Estimated labor: 282 hours; equipment: 45 hours - Additional charges: televising equipment, emergency call-out fees, material/parts markup, shop fees - Contract Structure: - Initial term: 1 year, with up to five one-year extensions (as mutually agreed) - Work is performed on an as-needed basis, authorized by the Contract Administrator - Cooperative purchasing option for other public entities - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs, brands, or part numbers are named in the solicitation - Unique Requirements: - 24/7 emergency response capability - Certified journeypersons required - Specialized truck services must be available - Pricing includes labor, equipment, and material markups
