BC Hydro is seeking proposals for the supply and installation of high-voltage gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) to support its power distribution infrastructure. - Government Buyer: - British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority (BC Hydro) - Products/Services Requested: - 253 kV SF6 Gas-Insulated Switchgear (ring and other configurations) - 72.5 kV Dry-Air Gas-Insulated Switchgear (ring and other configurations) - Comprehensive services including design, manufacturing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), delivery, commissioning, documentation, training, and baseline technical support - Optional services: extended technical support, supplemental training, extended warranties, spare parts recommendations and supply, and production slot reservations - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Ability to reserve production slots to mitigate supply-chain risks - Contract term is initially 5 years, with possible extensions up to 15 years - Delivery to BC Hydro’s Main Distribution Centre or project site in British Columbia
