Description
The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) proposes to establish the approximately 1,035,104-acre Champlain Valley of Vermont American viticultural area in western Vermont. This new viticultural area is distinct and does not overlap with any existing viticultural areas. The designation aims to help vintners better describe the origin of their wines and assist consumers in identifying wines from this region. Comments on this proposed rulemaking are invited and must be received by May 26, 2026.
