Description
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) of the USDA is reopening the comment period for a request for information regarding appropriate standards for the care of breeding female dogs at dog breeding facilities and the exercise and socialization of dogs subject to the Animal Welfare Act. This action provides additional time for interested persons to prepare and submit comments on the proposed standards. The original comment period was set to close on March 19, 2026, and is now extended to April 20, 2026.
