Douglas County Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking proposals for comprehensive pharmaceutical services to support its 254-bed nursing home, Youth Center, and Health Department clinics. - Government Buyer: - Douglas County Purchasing Department, on behalf of Douglas County Health Center (DCHC) - Also includes services for Douglas County Youth Center and Health Department - Scope of Services: - Management and operation of pharmacy services (on-site or off-site) - Absorption of existing pharmacy staff (1 FTE Pharmacist in Charge, 4 FTE Pharmacists, 4 FTE Pharmacy Technicians) - Dispensing of prescription medications, including IV medications (may be subcontracted) - Formulary development and adherence for VA and non-VA residents - Medication delivery (scheduled and as-needed), after-hours support, and emergency medication boxes - Provision of medication carts and laptops (or vendor-proposed alternatives) - Bubble packing of medications for residents and VA patients - E-prescribing, monthly chart reviews, and therapeutic drug monitoring - Support for Youth Center and Health Department - Administration and billing of vaccinations, antibiotic stewardship, and process improvement partnership - Training for all shifts and participation in quality meetings - Products/Equipment: - Medication carts, laptops for carts, emergency medication boxes, bubble packing supplies - Notable Requirements: - Flexible pricing models (fee-for-service, per diem, or combination) - Non-exclusive contract (multiple vendors possible) - Vendor must have a SAM.gov Unique Entity ID (UEI) - Insurance coverage required; no performance bond - Ability to outsource IV services - Integration with Point Click Care and electronic medical records - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or pharmaceutical manufacturers are named; open to all qualified pharmaceutical service providers - Place of Performance: - Douglas County Health Center, Youth Center, and Health Department clinics in Omaha, Nebraska
