Building 8 elevator repair VETERANS AFFAIRS MEDICAL CENTER SALEM, VA 24153

Secure the elevator in building 8 and once secured as appropriate, adjust and shorten the cable ropes for the elevator as appropriate. Upon completion of the adjustments, all necessary checks are to be performed, and the elevator is to be placed back into service. The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, and qualified supervision as necessary to perform work as described. If parts need replacement, the contractor will check with engineering personnel before such replacements are made. All contractors will abide by VA safety standards, including but not limited to LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) and are to provide their own safety equipment, locks, and tags. The elevator system is a safety and handicap access matter important to the continued care for the veterans. Work occurs inside of the building and in the attic spaces.
