The Global Ghost Gear Initiative (GGGI) is a cross-sector alliance focused on solving the problem of lost and abandoned fishing gear worldwide. It brings together the fishing industry, NGOs, academia, governments, and the private sector to collaborate on projects that prevent, remove, and recycle ghost gear, protecting marine ecosystems globally.
