The City of Oak Creek Common Council held a meeting on March 17, 2026, primarily focused on several land development and zoning matters related to the Heyday Oak Creek residential project. The council considered multiple public hearings and ordinances to amend the comprehensive plan, rezone properties, extend the planned unit development (PUD) overlay, and approve a certified survey map to facilitate phase two of the Heyday project, which includes additional single-family attached and two-story rental units. Discussions included land swaps between the city and developer, traffic and landscaping concerns from residents, and conditions related to tree preservation. The meeting concluded with a closed session to discuss the city administratorβs employment agreement and potential development agreements for a large property north of West Drexel Avenue and east of South 27th Street.
