The Tumwater, WA City Public Works Committee met on February 19, 2026, to discuss several procurement and capital improvement projects. Key agenda items included approval of a service provider agreement with Gray and Osborne for the design of aeration treatment and infrastructure upgrades at Well 15, a critical water system well, with a design budget not to exceed $368,000 funded from the drinking water fund. The committee also reviewed final acceptance of construction contracts for two major infrastructure projects: the Anson Sewer Project completed by A and D Enterprises with a final contract amount of $305,000, and the Israel Road Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvements project completed by Miles Resources with a final contract amount slightly over budget at approximately $2.4 million. Both projects were recommended for acceptance and release of performance bonds pending state approvals. Additionally, the committee approved an amendment to extend the fiber optic cabling agreement with the Washington State Department of Transportation through 2045, continuing a longstanding partnership. Motions to place these items on the upcoming city council consent calendar were unanimously approved, authorizing the mayor to sign relevant agreements and accept project completions.
