Recreational Swimming Pool Project Update–March 10, 2026
March 10, 2026
The Boulder City NV Government held a meeting on March 10, 2026, to provide an update on the Recreational Swimming Pool Project. The presentation detailed the design and construction plans, including two separate pools—a recreational pool with added features like a lazy river and kids play area, and a competition pool with eight lanes. The project team, including city staff, VCBO Design, and Core Construction as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR), emphasized collaboration to ensure the project stays within budget and meets community needs. The CMAR procurement process was highlighted as a strategy to deliver the best value and minimize change orders. The project budget includes up to $9 million approved by voters, with careful financial stewardship to maximize community benefit. Construction is planned to begin in late 2026 with an anticipated opening in 2028. The meeting also covered operational considerations such as ADA accessibility, maintenance efficiency, and community engagement throughout the project.
