Hutto Capital Improvement Program: Parks
April 12, 2024
The City of Hutto, Texas, is actively advancing its Capital Improvement Program focused on enhancing local parks. Key projects include a comprehensive renovation of Fritz Park, featuring new play areas, a splash pad, and walking trails, expected to complete by summer 2025. Additionally, Adam Orain Park is undergoing facility expansions and trail system improvements slated for summer 2024. The city is also enhancing safety and sustainability by installing solar-powered LED lighting, security cameras in select parks, and a standalone AED machine at the baseball facility. Infrastructure upgrades such as a new dock with safety railings at Huddle Lake Park have been completed, and design work is underway for a Veterans Memorial near City Hall, planned to open in 2025. These initiatives reflect a strong commitment to improving public amenities, safety, and honoring veterans, with significant procurement and contracting activities likely involved in these projects.
