# Code Enforcement Board Meeting I November 4, 2026

The City of Palm Coast Code Enforcement Board met on November 4, 2026, approved its October 7 minutes, and heard numerous property-code cases involving unpermitted construction, occupancy approval, carports, vehicle and trailer parking, weeds, nuisance accumulations, and property maintenance. In the Lawrence and Kathleen Jones case, the city reported that a temporary certificate of occupancy could not be issued until remaining soffit work and revised heating-and-cooling documentation were completed; the $3,350 fine for 67 days of noncompliance was allowed to continue. The board also ordered a property owner to obtain a permit for unpermitted additions within three days or face a $50-per-day fine, and ordered removal of a prohibited carport within three days or a $25-per-day fine, with administrative costs in both cases.

The board reduced a $1,350 trailer-parking fine to $270, and voted to suspend an accruing fine for 30 days in a pool-screen case while the owner arranged removal of the enclosure. Other cases resulted in continuing fines, daily-fine orders, or no-fine standing orders, generally with administrative costs; several respondents were directed to correct violations or contact the city about payment arrangements. The meeting focused on enforcement of existing building and property codes; no procurement, contract awards, purchasing decisions, or budget allocations were identified.
