# HCPS Board Meeting 11-5-26

At its November 5, 2026 regular meeting, the Henry County Public Schools Board unanimously approved two purchases. It approved a contract with Unlimited Instruction LLC, using Henrico County Public Schools’ RFP25-2835-4J, for instructional staffing support in special education inclusion classrooms and early childhood programs. The contract sets an hourly rate of $82, with a stated minimum of 3,008 instructor hours and a total cost not to exceed $246,615. The Board also unanimously approved a $161,518 purchase of Hand2Mind reading and math take-home kits for all K–5 students, funded through Title I. The kits are intended to support learning at home and family engagement.

The Board also unanimously authorized administration to proceed with planning and procedural steps for a proposed closure of Campbell Court Elementary and distribution of its students between Stanleytown and Sanville elementary schools, targeting the 2029–30 school year. This was authorization to study and plan—not a final consolidation decision—with further work expected on attendance boundaries, transportation, staffing, facility needs, and community engagement. A board member cited an estimated $6 million in needed Campbell Court upgrades. The Board received a new required policy, JBC, on equal access to public education and protection of immigration- and citizenship-related information; it is scheduled to return for formal adoption in December after a 30-day review period.
