# SDMF C&L Committee Meeting 11/4/26

The School District of Menomonee Falls Board of Education Curriculum and Learning Committee met November 4, 2026. The committee approved recommendations for an FBLA field trip to the Wisconsin Fall Leadership Conference (November 9–10), a dance-team competition trip to Ashwaubenon (December 4–5), an update to the Contemporary Healthcare Practices textbook, Wisconsin physical education standards, and several course offerings, including Unified Physical Education, CAP Personal Health and Fitness, and AP Seminar. The textbook update was estimated at approximately $2,600; AP Seminar summer training was estimated at about $800 and was already budgeted. CAP Personal Health and Fitness was described as having no additional staffing cost. No contract awards, vendor selections, or competitive bid approvals were discussed.

Staff reported that the 2026 Summer Academy served about 1,550 students and had a positive net financial impact of approximately $136,000, which supports the district’s general operating budget. The committee also reviewed federal Title grant funding and uses, including roughly $87,000 in Title II funds available for 2026–27, Title I allocations of $38,000 for Valleyview and $77,000 for Northwood Middle School in 2025–26, and Title IV support for student MiFi hotspots. The district shifted teacher-mentoring costs to Title II funds to free regular budget resources. These were informational discussions; no grant or spending action was voted on. The committee anticipated a December math-pilot update.
