# Fair Rent Commission 11-05-2026

The Norwalk, Connecticut Fair Rent Commission met on November 5, 2026. The Commission approved the prior meeting minutes, with one abstention, and received reports on public outreach, landlord and tenant education, and seasonal heating concerns. The coordinator also described assisting residents with eviction-process questions and directing housing-code concerns to the Health Department and housing inspectors.

The Commission reviewed rent-increase and service-complaint cases, taking no action on several matters while negotiations, lease signatures, or complaint withdrawals remain pending. It scheduled a January hearing for the Richards Avenue case, noted that the Glover Avenue case is subject to a bankruptcy stay, and voted to close cases involving Willard Road and Bridge Street. It declined to accept cases where the rent increase had been withdrawn or the tenant had moved out, and accepted the Lexington Avenue case within its jurisdiction. No procurement, contract, or spending activity was identified.
