# Commission Meeting 11/4/26

The Carbon County, Utah, Commission meeting was held November 4, 2026. Commissioners opened bids for an emergency-management UTV and voted to acknowledge the submissions and authorize staff and a commissioner to review them and make a selection; no award was made during the meeting. Bids included GCLS Services LLC at $29,009.99; Rocky Mountain ATV offers of $18,687, $21,007.84, $25,003.82, and $14,004.99; Logistics 365 at $26,096; and One Nation Distribution LLC at $36,004.94 (a second amount in the transcript was unclear). The commission also approved a 2027 scope of work with marketing firm Soarin Digital LLC and an agreement with visitor-analytics provider Placer.ai. Both are to be funded through the state tourism marketing grant and county tourism-tax revenues used as matching funds.

The commission and Redevelopment Agency held a public hearing and approved the project-area plan and budget for the Loudermilk Industrial Park community reinvestment area, adopting RDA Resolution 2026-01 and County Ordinance 2026-599. Intermountain Electronics requested a performance-based tax incentive of 75% of incremental taxes for seven years in exchange for a commitment to add 200 jobs; the presentation reported that the company had already met the prior incentive’s 286-job requirement. Commissioners also approved annexation of a six-acre GG Petroleum parcel near Wellington for a proposed truck stop, and approved a county credit card for two new emergency-services officials. Other actions included approving a resolution moving EMS employees into the Utah Retirement System firefighter system. No procurement award was made for the UTV bids.
