# Moorsbridge School Board Presentation

At a Portage Public Schools Board of Education presentation on November 4, 2026, district staff and project advisers described the planned Moorsbridge Elementary renovation as part of the district’s bond program. The proposed scope includes air conditioning and related mechanical-system replacements, classroom ceilings, lighting, flooring, paint, cabinetry and furniture, plus updates to restrooms, the kitchen, office, wellness room, playground, gymnasium, cafeteria, library and staff lounge. The presentation framed the work as bringing the school closer to the district’s newer elementary-school standards and supporting flexible learning, accessibility and student and staff safety. Plant Moran Realpoint was identified as the district’s owner’s representative; no project cost, contract award or vendor-selection decision was stated.

The team said students and staff would not occupy the building during active construction, citing construction-site separation, air quality, fire and life safety, equipment deliveries and security. The district also noted that construction at Amberly is underway and that Angland Road is expected to break ground next summer and open in 2029. This meeting was a project presentation; the transcript reports no motion, vote or spending approval.
