# Public Library Authority Board - 10/22/26

The Sacramento Public Library Authority Board met on October 22, 2026. The board approved the FY 2026–27 final budget, position control, fee structure, and capital/deferred-maintenance plan; the motion passed with nine members voting and one abstention. The budget projects $66.4 million in revenue and $70.4 million in expenditures, using approximately $4 million in fund balance. The $1.5 million capital and deferred-maintenance budget is about $200,000 above the May budget. Project-related allocations include $500,000 for the Elk Grove Library’s opening-day collection and automated materials-handling equipment, and additional funding for the Martin Luther King Jr. Library project and collections. No fee changes were recommended. Position control increases by one net FTE, to 341.5.
