# Thailand Deploys ARBEL Counter-Drone System

Israel Weapons Industries (IWI) has delivered its ARBEL Anti-Drone System to Thailand’s Ministry of Defense, where it is now operational following integration with existing rifles and on-site training. IWI says three other Southeast Asian countries are at different stages of procurement, and additional Thai orders are under discussion; contract values, timelines, and the other countries’ identities have not been disclosed. For procurement professionals, the deployment offers a concrete example of a counter-drone capability being fielded through integration with existing equipment and accompanying training, while regional follow-on demand remains possible but unconfirmed.

- The reported deployment combines system delivery, integration with existing rifles, and on-site training—elements relevant to requirements planning and evaluation of counter-drone proposals.
- Defense suppliers can assess whether their offerings support integration with existing small arms and include training, based on the approach reported in Thailand.
- IWI reports procurement activity in three additional Southeast Asian countries, but does not identify them or disclose procurement stages, values, or schedules; additional Thai orders are also only under discussion.
