# City of Irving | Planning & Zoning Commission Public Hearing November 2, 2026

The City of Irving Planning & Zoning Commission held a public hearing on November 2, 2026. The four consent items—meeting minutes and three replats—were approved 7–0. The Commission recommended approval of conditional use permit 202034CUP for 711 East Irving Boulevard with a five-year term (7–0), and recommended denial of a short-term-rental permit for 1205 North MacArthur Boulevard (2026-305-CUP, 7–0) after residents raised concerns about noise, parking, safety, and neighborhood impacts. The Commission also recommended denial of comprehensive plan amendment 2026-311-CP and zoning case 2026-306-ZC (6–1 each); postponed zoning case 2026-304-ZC to December 7 (7–0); and approved zoning case 2026-309-ZC (7–0), zoning case 2026-312-ZC (6–0), and comprehensive plan updates 2026-332-CP (7–0). Several other cases were withdrawn without votes.

Brock Solutions presented companion comprehensive-plan and zoning requests to support its engineering and automation operations, including indoor assembly of custom electrical control panels and a proposed connector/loading area; both cases were recommended for approval 7–0. The Commission also recommended approval of the request to remove an SP-1 zoning overlay (6–0), with drainage, curbing, and site-maintenance issues discussed. These were land-use and development decisions; no procurement activity, contract awards, bids, vendor selections, or budget allocations were identified.
