# Community Redevelopment Agency - November 2, 2026

The Cape Coral Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) meeting on November 2, 2026, included discussion of a $347,646 utility-related payment associated with properties in the Southeast Cape. Staff explained that several properties had not paid their contribution-in-aid-of-construction (CIAC) fees for existing utility distribution lines; the fees were to be addressed under a negotiated development agreement so the properties could be developed. After the item was pulled from the consent agenda for discussion, the CRA approved it 7–1. Speakers questioned whether the payment shifted developers’ costs to taxpayers and raised broader concerns about CRA spending and the Bimini East project. The remaining consent agenda passed 8–0.

Staff also said the CRA’s employees, except the executive director, could move to a new deferred-compensation provider because the prior provider charged higher investment fees; no provider name or separate vote on that change was recorded. Other discussion included CRA taxable-value trends, governance, code compliance, and future meeting scheduling. No other contract award or procurement action was identified.
