# Zoning Board of Adjustment LIVE stream 11-2-26

The City of San Angelo Zoning Board of Adjustment met on November 2, 2026, and approved four zoning variance requests, each by a 6–0 vote. The cases covered a 4,270-square-foot lot for a new residence at 1055 North Harrison Street; reduced rear and side setbacks for work on a locally and nationally designated historic property at 1303 South Park Street; a 15-foot side setback for a new home at 4116 Sedona Trail; and a lot-size variance allowing a flood-affected home to be rebuilt on a 0.72-acre lot at 216 West 49th Street. No contracts, purchases, or other procurement activity were identified.

In discussion, board members asked whether zero-lot-line setback issues could be addressed more broadly to avoid repeated individual variance cases and fees. Planning staff said the issue had been considered during zoning updates and offered to discuss options with developers; the board suggested placing it on a future agenda, but took no action. Staff also noted that City Council would discuss a possible extension of the open-structure overlay the following morning; that item was informational at this meeting.
