# U.S. Navy Awards Mine-Hunting Modules

On November 2, 2026, the U.S. Navy awarded Advanced Acoustic Concepts (AAC), a Thales subsidiary, **$53.9 million** to supply two integrated Remote Mine Hunting modules and engineering support. Options for additional modules could raise the cumulative value to approximately **$196.2 million**. The award supports the Navy’s mine-countermeasure capabilities and may create follow-on demand for integrated sonar, AI-assisted mine classification, mission-management software, and remotely operated systems; the announcement provides no solicitation number or delivery schedule.

- The initial award covers two modules and engineering support, while the options represent potential—not guaranteed—additional work.
- Defense contractors and suppliers with sonar, classification software, mission-management, or remote-systems capabilities may find relevant opportunities in the program’s integrated approach.
- Companies evaluating participation should distinguish the confirmed $53.9 million award from the potential cumulative value and note that the announcement does not specify delivery dates or a solicitation number.
