# Fall 2026 Executive Implementation Team Meeting

The Fall 2026 Executive Implementation Team meeting of the Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR), held October 30, 2026, covered implementation of math pathways and online corequisite support. University and community-college teams shared early research on online asynchronous courses, including comparable pass/fail rates between online and in-person gateway courses, and identified challenges such as student engagement, course navigation, instructor time, and building community. Planned work includes focus groups and sharing effective course-design practices; no procurement activity or spending decisions were identified.

The Math Pathways Task Force outlined goals including developing protocols for changes to gateway courses and placement measures, improving corequisite courses, considering placement-exam proctoring, and reviewing which advanced courses count toward general-education math requirements. The group also discussed updating a K–12 math pathways information page and addressing implementation issues. KBOR reported that math-pathway requirements are now available through its live program-search feature, with static PDFs expected to be retired. The approval process for proposed protocols remains undetermined and may involve KBOR staff, BASK, and Academic Affairs. No votes or procurement-related action items were reported.
