# Community Police Review Board Meeting, October 21, 2026

The City of Modesto Community Police Review Board met on October 21, 2026. The board approved the September 16 meeting minutes and received a presentation from the Modesto Police Department and Stanislaus Regional 911 (SR911) on their dispatch partnership. Presenters described SR911’s 24/7 operations, call volumes, staffing and training, call triage, mental-health crisis protocols, and coordination with police, fire, and other agencies. SR911 reported 58 allocated positions, with most administrative and technical positions filled; 11 call takers were deployable, with additional candidates in background checks. The Central Square CAD system, deployed in January 2026, is shared by participating agencies; officials said there were no current system-related delays and that the new system had improved mapping and dispatch functions.

Board members also discussed dispatch staffing and overtime, critical-incident debriefs and employee wellness, possible co-location of SR911 and Modesto’s Real-Time Crime Center, and potential uses of AI for non-emergency call triage and dispatch support. These were discussion topics, not procurement decisions. No contracts, vendor selections, bid approvals, budget allocations, or spending-related motions were identified. Future agenda topics include the police chief’s response to the board’s annual report, encampment operations and property handling, and review of board priorities.
