# Ellensburg City Council September 8, 2026

At the Ellensburg City Council regular meeting on September 8, 2026, the council approved Resolution 2026-21 for the Sanders Mill phases 9 and 10 preliminary subdivision and departure request, and adopted ordinances updating city change-fund authorizations and traffic-control rules. The council also approved Resolution 2026-20 establishing a process for city appointments to the Kittitas County Public Facilities Board. No contract awards or purchase amounts were approved. In an informational discussion, representatives described a countywide federal advocacy and grants effort through the Conference of Governments. The Ferguson Group was selected through an RFP/RFQ process; a draft interlocal agreement is under review, with a possible commitment expected at a future meeting. Staff noted that advocacy could support funding for the wastewater treatment plant, with some costs potentially paid from the sewer fund. Separately, a council member noted that the hospital may bid for a private EMS provider to perform patient-transfer services; costs are expected to be significantly higher, but no procurement decision was made.
