# 08-17-2026 Battle Ground City Council Study Session & Regular Meeting

The Battle Ground City Council held a study session and regular meeting on August 17, 2026. The study session focused on the Discovery Clean Water Alliance’s general sewer plan and four alternatives for meeting Battle Ground’s projected 20-year wastewater transmission needs. Options included expanding the existing equalization basin at Grace Avenue, estimated at roughly half the cost of pipeline alternatives, and constructing new force mains estimated at approximately $51–56 million. The Alliance presented cost and operational tradeoffs, including resilience, permitting, and future growth; the Council made no selection, and staff said a decision would be coordinated with upcoming sewer work and bidding. Staff also reported that a $1 million state allocation will support design work for phase two of the 92nd Avenue pump station project, and provided construction updates on several street, pathway, water, and sewer projects.
