# Cobb County, Georgia, Sheriff Adopts Inmate Tracking

The Cobb County, Georgia, Sheriff’s Office is replacing paper-based safety-round and inmate-interaction logs at its Adult Detention Center in Marietta with GUARDIAN RFID’s Command Cloud platform and SPARTAN handheld devices, integrated with the facility’s existing ViaPath Jail Management System. The report does not disclose contract value, solicitation details, award terms, or timing. For procurement professionals, the implementation is a market signal for correctional technology that combines real-time inmate monitoring, alerts, mobile data capture, and integration with installed jail-management systems.

- Correctional agencies evaluating similar systems can assess whether proposed platforms integrate with their existing jail-management software and replace manual logging workflows.
- Technology suppliers can use the deployment as an example of demand for inmate-tracking, safety-round, and records-integration capabilities; the signal does not establish an open solicitation or future procurement.
- Because no contract value or award terms are disclosed, contractors should not infer pricing, procurement method, or contract structure from this announcement.
