# EDC Meeting 10-20-2026

The City of Bandera Economic Development Corporation (EDC) held a workshop and regular meeting on October 20, 2026. The workshop generated ideas for park improvements, visitor wayfinding, murals, events, bird-conservation tourism, and long-term business development; these were discussion items rather than approved projects. In the regular meeting, the board approved spending $400 from the parks and recreation budget line (49010) to mark six boundary pins at Settler’s Park. It also approved a performance agreement with the City for Christmas lighting and holiday decorations, with reimbursement based on receipts; no amount was stated. A $25,000 request from Trail Boss Steakhouse for an outdoor dining patio was discussed, but no action was taken. The board noted that EDC incentive grants had previously been discontinued and would need to be reopened before proceeding with that type of funding.

The board tabled the financial statements until the next month, approved a $550 administrative invoice, and discussed recording QuickBooks payments on the consent agenda. Promotional-funding applications and a proposed scoring matrix were deferred for further review; the board expected applications totaling about $76,000 and noted a $10,000 limit per recipient. The board also agreed to have legal counsel review whether the investment policy supports a proposed collateral agreement with Bandera Bank before proceeding. A title and boundary issue involving the Tin Man parking lot was discussed, but no survey was authorized; the matter is to return on a future agenda. Bylaw revisions were deferred for review and possible recommendations at the next meeting.
