# General Session - October 27, 2026

Franklin County Board of Commissioners general session, October 27, 2026. The board approved several infrastructure actions: plans and specifications for Section 4 of the Zuber Road/Plum Run drainage project, allowing it to proceed to bidding; a $7,220,149.25 contract award to Strawser Paving Company for Ferris Road improvements, selected as the lowest and best of four bids; and a $13,624.13 decrease to CDM Smith’s Hot Ditch drainage-design contract, bringing its revised amount to $288,031.98. Commissioners also approved renewing a $4-per-base-fee allocation to the Recorder’s Technology Fund for 2027 and a $30,000 contribution toward the Central Ohio Veteran Stand Down.

The board approved a Job and Family Services RFP selection of 25 community partners for out-of-school-time programs, totaling $5,745,499.94, as well as routine purchase orders totaling $5,756,441.68 and another group totaling $41,880; the latter passed with Commissioner Boyce abstaining. Commissioners extended the Franklin Park Conservatory Joint Recreation District’s term, with discussion noting nearly $10 million in federal and state historic tax credits at stake and concerns about county representation and park fencing. The board also approved annexation and boundary-adjustment resolutions, an interagency adult-maltreatment response MOU, and other routine actions. The transcript identifies no procurement-related vote failures.
