# TAC & CAC Meeting

The City of Sherwood’s Transportation System Plan (TSP) update Citizen Advisory Committee meeting, held October 29, 2026, reviewed draft future transportation solutions. The proposals include pedestrian and bicycle network improvement programs, specific crossing and bikeway projects, safety and multimodal improvements, transit studies, and coordination on freight, traffic operations, and potential rail crossings. The committee also discussed how to document public comments and explain projects carried forward from or removed from the 2014 TSP. Draft solutions will be opened for public comment, with committee feedback requested by November 4; a prioritized project list is expected after further feasibility and cost analysis.

Staff proposed annual funding programs for missing pedestrian and bicycle connections, subject to City Council approval and additional funding, but no funding amount, procurement, contract award, or purchasing vote was identified. Other policy proposals include aligning roadway classifications and jurisdiction with Washington County plans, retaining existing street design standards, continuing recently adopted parking rules, and developing citywide driveway spacing and access-consolidation standards. The updated TSP is scheduled for Planning Commission and City Council review, with adoption targeted before June 30, 2027.
