# Planning Commission Hearing - 10/28/2026

The San Mateo County Planning Commission held a hearing on October 28, 2026. The commission unanimously approved Coastal Development Permit PLN 2026-00260, requested by the County Department of Public Works, to establish a no-parking zone for vehicles over six feet high on both sides of Capistrano Road in unincorporated Princeton. The proposed signs are intended to address visibility and public-safety concerns near Half Moon Bay Airport, as well as long-term RV parking and associated debris affecting Dennison Creek. The approval is subject to the findings and conditions in Attachment A, and the signs cannot take effect until the appeal periods have expired and installation is complete. Commissioners and county staff also discussed outreach and housing-resource coordination for people living in vehicles in the area.

The commission approved the consent agenda, including the October 14 minutes, and heard no public comments on consent or off-agenda items. No procurement activity, contract awards, vendor selections, or spending decisions were identified. The next meeting was scheduled for November 18, with an after-the-fact coastal permit item for site improvements at Seton Coastside Medical Center and an item related to housing opportunities also noted.
