The Ventura County Consolidated Oversight Board’s regular meeting on October 28, 2026, approved the cities’ administrative cost budgets for July 1, 2027–June 30, 2028. The board approved submissions from Fillmore, Moorpark, Oxnard, and Ventura, with motions passing for each. Oxnard’s revised submission corrected a typo without changing its total request. Ventura reported a revised request of $13,324, a $5,012 decrease from its prior submission and an approximately 36% reduction from the previous year. The transcript does not provide the other cities’ budget amounts.

The board also discussed property matters. Fillmore plans to obtain a commercial real estate evaluation and market its property at 510 Santa Clara Street for sale; the city said it is not currently funded to take the property over. For the Mountain View property, a developer associated with Many Mansions has secured a lender and is progressing toward purchase and construction, with an expedited entitlement process under AB 2162 discussed. Moorpark said appraisal work for a remaining property was underway and that a geotechnical report had also been requested. The board additionally noted that it was checking ownership records for properties transferred to a city. No vendor contract award was identified.
