# 10/27/2026 County Board of Supervisors

The Waupaca County Board of Supervisors meeting on October 27, 2026, included an update on the Catch-a-Ride transportation program and a presentation of the proposed 2027 budget. Catch-a-Ride reported more than 2,200 rides in the prior month and described its funding as roughly 60% federal and state support through Wisconsin DOT, with the balance supported locally and through private partners. No new transportation contract or funding commitment was approved during the update. The proposed budget includes a $250,000 allocation for a county strategic plan; staff said the county would need to issue an RFP if it decides to proceed. The budget presentation also cited a $150,000 increase for home-delivered-meal contracts, capital improvement spending of about $7.1 million in 2027, and a proposed HVAC replacement project. The budget was presented for review, not adopted; Finance Committee consideration was scheduled for November 4 and a public hearing for November 10. The Board separately approved a 2.5% employee wage increase for 2027 by a 22–3 vote.

Supervisors also discussed proposed zoning-code work, including future consideration of rules for data centers and battery energy storage systems, which could shape future development and vendor opportunities. The presentation on county governance addressed board and staff roles and possible updates to board rules; it did not result in a procurement decision.
