# UK and Poland Launch Warsaw Defence Plan

The United Kingdom and Poland signed the Warsaw Defence Plan on 27 October 2026, setting an initial phase of cooperation across air and missile defence, drones, cyber resilience, maritime security, defence manufacturing, and military exercises. The plan identifies potential areas for joint development and production, including next-generation air-defence missiles and drone and counter-drone technologies. **No contract values, solicitations, named suppliers for these new opportunities, or procurement contacts were announced**, so the plan signals a developing pipeline rather than open competitions.

- **Why this matters:** Contractors with relevant defence technology or manufacturing capabilities may find opportunities in missile defence, counter-UAS, cyber resilience, ammunition production, and coordinated UK-Poland procurement.
- The extracted entities also identify MBDA UK in connection with Poland’s Narew air-defence procurement, and BAE Systems and PGZ as participants in large-calibre ammunition production. These are related procurement or industrial activities, not confirmed awards under the new plan.
- Companies can assess where their capabilities and cross-border industrial partnerships align with the plan’s stated areas; the announcement provides no bid deadlines or contact details.
