# 10/26/2026 PLSD Board of Education Meeting

The Pickerington Local School District Board of Education held a regular meeting on October 26, 2026. The board heard a presentation on Tollgate Elementary’s academic performance and community involvement. Financial discussion included adjustments to bring appropriations closer to their prior levels after an earlier change aligned them with the forecast; the treasurer noted that forecasts and appropriations may change again. The board also considered a donation from several groups, including an Ohio Lottery classroom-supplies award. No contract awards, bids, or other procurement activity were identified.

Much of the meeting focused on the November levy vote and the district’s financial outlook. Board members and speakers warned that failure of the levy could lead to staffing and program cuts, and noted that the district must be able to meet its financial obligations by July 1, 2027. A student requested approval of a self-funded rocketry club that would have no cost to the district; the student said the required form had been submitted, and the board indicated it would review the request. The meeting also included personnel recommendations and discussion of student communications and community engagement.
