# Civic Center Commission 10/22/2026

The City of Worcester Civic Center Commission met on October 22, 2026, and approved the minutes and a community opportunity application for DCF’s annual holiday party. The Commission also approved a $47,429 final change order for the fire alarm upgrade, after discussing how to track incremental project costs against an earlier $50,000 authorization. For structural steel work, staff reported a total of $469,826.70 against prior approvals of $450,000 and an additional $150,000; the Commission voted on the reported final amount. Staff noted that approximately $20,000 in additional arena steel work may be brought forward at a later meeting. Other active capital projects included arena elevator work, structural rigging-grid work, and facility lighting and back-of-house design options.
