# UK and Germany Advance Defence Cooperation

At ministerial talks at Lancaster House in London, UK and German officials advanced defence-industrial cooperation through the Ministerial Group on Equipment and Capability Cooperation, identifying long-range Deep Precision Strike development as a priority and covering collaboration across air, land, maritime, cyber and space. Separately, the Scottish Defence Growth Deal commits **£50 million overall**, including matched funding for two Defence Technical Excellence Colleges. Neither development identifies a specific solicitation or contract award, but both signal potential demand for capability development, advanced manufacturing, engineering and defence workforce training.

- The UK-Germany initiative gives defence suppliers a basis to assess potential work in long-range strike and the broader air, land, maritime, cyber and space domains; no procurement vehicle, contract value or solicitation timeline is specified.
- The Scottish deal includes a **£10 million UK Government commitment matched by the Scottish Government** for the colleges, with one planned in the East and one in the West. Training providers and employers may find opportunities connected to defence-sector skills development.
- Companies in advanced manufacturing, engineering and workforce training can evaluate how their capabilities align with these stated priorities, while recognizing that the signals do not announce open competitions.
