# Parks, Foundations, Quality of Life Policy Committee - October 2026

The Parks, Foundations, Quality of Life Policy Committee met on October 22, 2026, and received the PROS Advisory Board’s annual report. The board described its formation by combining three previous advisory boards, its 15-member roster and efforts to recruit representatives from underrepresented city wards, and its work advising on parks, recreation, golf, and open space. It supported the proposed name Sasquatch Park for the future park next to Central Recreation Center and reported that it had approved the Signature Park Master Plan amendment in an advisory capacity. Board feedback on the Signature Park plan included water-efficient turf options for proposed soccer fields and consideration of burrowing owls.
