# Denmark Announces Long-Range Missile Purchases

On October 22, 2026, Denmark announced plans to acquire Kongsberg Joint Strike Missiles for its F-35A fleet and Covenant Industries’ ground-launched Anthem missiles, expanding its long-range strike capability in support of a NATO commitment by 2030. Reporting differs on contract status: one account says contracts were signed, while others describe planned purchases, and Kongsberg says the JSM package scope and value remain subject to negotiations. Quantities, aggregate prices, and delivery schedules are not disclosed, and no open solicitation or procurement contact is identified.

- The acquisition covers two distinct systems: air-launched JSMs for F-35As and ground-launched Anthem missiles. Reported per-unit figures are up to $3.5 million for JSMs and less than $1 million for Anthem; total contract values remain undisclosed.
- Contractors should treat this as a procurement market signal rather than an open competition. The available information does not provide bid instructions, quantities, delivery schedules, or a procurement contact.
- Covenant plans to begin Anthem production at its Leipzig facility in early 2027, a relevant supply and production milestone for companies assessing potential subcontracting or industrial-base opportunities.
